New Features

New items represent new features/functionality that have been added to ScholarRx applications.

New QMax Product

A new unified QMax product is being introduced. With an active subscription, customers will now have access to both the Step 1 and Step 2 CK QMax question banks, as well as all the simulations & Step 1 self-assessment exams (available now) and Step 2 self-assessment exams (when available).

Product Variations and Pricing

The new QMax product will be offered for the following variations & pricing:

[New subscription variations & pricing]

[Extended subscription variations & pricing]

Our B2C customers may upgrade their QMax subscription to an Rx360+ subscription, but our institutional customers must still have their subscriptions managed through their institution.

When upgrading from QMax to an Rx360+ subscription, a pro-rated discount will be applied to the cart; however, because we do not currently have a mechanism to cancel subscriptions, the QMax product will NOT be canceled, and the customer will see a QMax and an Rx360+ subscription widget on their ‘Subscription’ dashboard.

License Management Page – Product List Updated

The internal-only License Management page’s product drop-down list has been updated in the following ways:

  • QMax has been added

  • QMax 1 has been removed

  • QMax 2 has been removed

Retired Products

The following products are being retired and should no longer be offered or assigned to customers.

  • QMax 1

  • QMax 2

  • Step 1 / Step 2 CK QMax bundle

  • Rx360+ / Step 2 CK QMax bundle

Migration Logic

Customers who currently have an active subscription to any of the following products will be impacted in the following ways:

  • Rx360+ (institutional) -> the Step 2 CK QMax bank will be added

  • Rx360 Institutional -> the Step 2 CK QMax bank will be added

  • QMax 1 -> this subscription will be canceled and a new subscription to QMax will be created with the same start/end dates (access to both Step 1 and Step 2 banks will be included)

  • QMax 2 -> this subscription will be canceled and a new subscription to QMax will be created with the same start/end dates (access to both Step 1 and Step 2 banks will be included)

  • Rx360+ trial -> the Step 2 CK QMax bank will be included

Client Dashboard Change

To support the unification of QMax, the USMLE-Rx application dashboard has been updated to display the Step 1 and Step 2 CK QMax widgets together.

Tests & Cumulative Analysis

Customers may still create tests from the individual Step 1 and Step 2 CK QMax question banks. This logic has not changed.

The Test -> Cumulative Analysis page still provides an option to review statistics based on the selected step. This logic has not changed.

Sales Tax – Avalara

Multiple states require us to charge sales tax on all product purchases. Because of this, we have integrated our eCommerce (Drupal) application with a third-party vendor named Avalara. Sales tax will be added to the cart during the checkout process and is based on the state associated to the payment method.
